Attention-Deficit is an issue with attention regulation and filtering out unimportant information in the environment.  Kids may exhibit inattention, hyperactivity/impulsivity, or both.  Testing can determine whether your child's learning and behavioral issues are the result of attention dysregulation and how it may be affecting their behavior at home and at school.  Many children with ADHD are misunderstood by their teachers and others, and often get disciplined for behavior out of their control.  With a better understanding of your child's neurocognitive profile you will be able to respond more effectively and gain a new perspective on what may have been seen as problem behaviors.
